Worked with a few local bands to create cover albums, primarily in Pro Tools.
Ready Set Kicks
For my Senior Project, I oversaw casting/producing/mixing/mastering 3 songs of a CD with other producers to create an Indie Rock Cover Album with songs from the 80’s and creating our own version. We created a record company and a proposal which led us to cast a band called “The Kicks”. We recorded 12 cover songs in total in a professional recording studio environment; with proper timelines and specific deadlines that we set up for ourselves, and this is what we came up with! I worked on “Are You Gonna Be My Girl”, “I Can’t Go For That” and also “Footsteps In the Dark” using all the tips and techniques I have learned over the past five years!
Jazz Cover Album
In order to receive my A.A. for Transfer in Music Production, I completed a final project in Advanced Music Recording. I did what I learned from Beginning and Intermediate Music Recording, which is cast a band, record them, and turn in a final mix at a specific deadline. I reached out to the Fullerton College Jazz Band to help me out and be their music producer. Out of the whole jazz band, I decided to only cast the best of the best for the session. I then got a date and time for a session and had my classmates be my audio helpers. Whether it was helping me create the session or set up and breakdown microphones, I had a task for each person to get the studio session going. I then got seven songs from the band and from there delivered a proper final mix to my professor at a specific deadline!
